November 2025 Newsletter
Big upgrades and the start of the holiday season. November is shaping up to be a busy month at JH CrossFit.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Major Equipment Upgrade Coming
Big things are rolling in this month — literally.
More than two tons of new equipment were ordered and delivered to JH CrossFit on Monday, Oct. 27.
These upgrades mark another milestone investment in our facility and will continue improving the gym experience, safety, and training quality for all members.
Here’s what you’ll see hitting the mats in the coming weeks:
10 new Rogue Echo Bikes (replacing aging Assault bikes)
Competition ring straps for all rigs (11 total sets)
Brand new 10- and 25-lb plates
Our first-ever sets of 15-lb plates
Four horizontal plate trees to better protect and organize plates
New aluminum barbell collars for safer lifts
The new equipment will be introduced gradually throughout November as it’s assembled. Expect to see new additions appearing on the floor each week.
Proper Equipment Use & Care
With all this new gear arriving, it’s the perfect time to reset expectations on how we treat our equipment.
Every piece is an investment in your training experience and in the safety of everyone who walks through our doors.
Here’s how to help keep it in great shape:
Never drop barbells loaded with only 10- or 15-lb plates. These smaller plates bend and break easily on impact.
Always use barbell collars when lifting — unless bench pressing. This keeps plates secure and prevents accidents and plate damage.
Move Assault / Echo
Bikes Properly
Grab the bike from the rear frame at the base, never by the handles, seat, or screen.
Clean and return all equipment to its proper place after use.
Set an example: Reinforce these standards during class and open gym by being principled in your training and teachable when you’re at fault. If you see dangerous use, improper handling, or blatant disregard, respectfully bring attention to it and notify a coach.
These rules aren’t here to make things harder or to police anyone. They’re about protecting your safety and reducing unnecessary replacements so we can continue investing where it matters most — in you and the gym.

Facility Upkeep & Etiquette
Let’s raise the bar with how we care for our gym.
Wipe it down. Clean handles, pads, floor mats and benches, and rower/bike touchpoints after use. We’ve made gym wipes and floor spray mops conveniently available throughout the gym.
Put it back. Return gear like you found it.
Chalk smart. Keep it over the pan. Wipe chalked equipment and areas before leaving.
Report issues fast. If something’s loose, frayed, or not working, tell a coach right away.
That’s It for this Month
Thank you all for helping make JH not only the most elite CrossFit gym in Mobile but the most supportive and hardest-working community.
Keep training smart, stay consistent, and we’ll see you at the next WOD.
