July Monthly Challenge: 1-Mile Run
July’s Mayhem Monthly Challenge is a simple classic: the 1-mile run.
We’ll test the mile at the start of the month, then retest during the week of July 27 to see how much progress we can make.
This is about running smarter. And we’ll focus on pacing and quality movement.
For athletes who need a scaled option, we’ll also have an 800m run option. If running isn’t available due to weather, injury, or other limitations, a 2,000m row may be used as an alternative.
All athletes should be able to view an added aerobic-focused workout each week on their BTWB App.
We’re repeating our prize for those who complete the challenge workouts. Complete each of the challenge workouts, and you’ll be entered to win some free JH Merch.
This is a great chance to learn, improve and test.
June 1,000 Burpee Challenge
For the June 1,000 Burpee Challenge, Scott Johnson’s name was picked among those to complete the workouts. He had a massive 14-rep PR improvement over the month.
Current Strength Cycle Reminder
We’re a few weeks into Project Mayhem, our current Mayhem training cycle inspired by old-school CrossFit.
This cycle blends strength, conditioning, gymnastics, skill work, Olympic lifting, and classic CrossFit-style workouts to build more capable, well-rounded athletes.
At this point, we’ve already established early strength and gymnastics baselines, and now the focus is on staying consistent, moving well, and continuing to build momentum through the summer.
If you missed the original cycle overview, the goal is simple: keep training varied, challenging, and fun while getting stronger and more confident across the board.

24/7 Access Update
Renee is actively working through the rollout of individual 24/7 access codes.
If you are a 24/7 member, please keep an eye on your email. You’ll receive details about your personal code once your profile is ready.
The main door code will be changing, and each 24/7 member will receive an individual code connected to their account. This will help make access more reliable, secure, and easier to manage moving forward.
Thank you for your patience as we work through the transition.
Fall Beach Brawl — Start Planning Now
The 15th anniversary Fall Beach Brawl is coming up in September on Pensacola Beach, and JH usually has a strong group competing and cheering from the sideline.
This year’s Fall Edition includes both individual divisions and teams of four.
Competition dates:
Friday, Sept. 25 — Elite Beach Event
Saturday, Sept. 26 — All Individual Divisions
Sunday, Sept. 27 — All Team Divisions
Beach Brawl brings athletes from across the region to compete in workouts that test strength, endurance, and teamwork — and it’s always a great weekend for the JH community.
If you’re interested in competing, now is the time to start looking at divisions, putting together a team, or making plans to register before spots fill up.

Quick Summer Reminders
Summer is officially here — which means heat, humidity, storms, and plenty of extra time in the gym.
A few friendly reminders:
Please hydrate before, during, and after training.
If it’s raining, please keep the gym doors closed.
Please don’t leave doors open during bad weather.
Avoid adjusting, unplugging, or moving Wi-Fi equipment, door systems, cords, timers, or electronics.
We know the gym gets hot this time of year, and we appreciate everyone helping us protect the equipment, keep the space dry, and make sure everything stays running the way it should.
Thanks for helping us take care of the gym.
See you in the gym,
Will
